Steps - from start to finish

Step 1 - Register for the Match

All applicants must become members of the the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). The AAFPRS office will handle your registration with the Match as well as distribute your application to selected programs. For more information please contact:

Step 2 – Access your timeline

Select “Key Dates” from "About the Match" button to view important dates related to your specialty Match.

Step 3 – Select your programs

Login to the online directory to view the list of available programs. The online directory listings are maintained by the training programs. Call programs individually to obtain any additional information you don’t find in the directory. SF Match does not have additional information other than what you see in the online directory.

Step 4 - Applying to programs

Contact the The AAFPRS office for application information.

Step 5– Interviews

Programs will contact applicants who have been selected for interview. Method of contact varies from program to program. Please contact your programs to find out how they will be sending invitations for interview.

Step 6– Submit rank list

After your interviews and before the Match deadline, submit your rank list to our office. Rank lists are submitted online. Confirmation for your rank list choices is sent to you via email within 2 business days of receipt of your form.
