About CAS

The Central Application Service (CAS) distributes applications to residency and fellowship training programs online. Applicants are required fill out an online CAS application form, provide a set of required documents, and select programs for distribution. A separate fee is required for CAS distributions.

Applicants are responsible for assembling a complete CAS application package which includes the following documents:

CAS Application Form (online form available after registration is concluded)
Medical School Transcript(s)
USMLE Score Report or Transcript(s)
Three letters of reference
CV

Some programs may require additional support documents. Documents that are not listed in the CAS instructions manual must be sent directly to the program..
