Key Dates

October 2008
  • The SF Match will begin accepting requests for registration for the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Fellowship Match.
  • For your convenience an online directory is available for your review. This directory is updated by The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society year-around. It is recommended that you check this directory on a regular basis.
Oct. 2, 2008 to March 15, 2009
  • Application period.
    Contact the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society at http://www.aofas.org to apply to programs. Applicants are encouraged to have applications completed by December 31, 2008.
January 1, 2009 - March 31, 2009
  • In the absence of extenuating circumstances, fellowship interviews are to be conducted between January 1,
    2009 and March 31, 2009. If there are logistical reasons why it would be preferable for an applicant to complete some of his/her interviews prior to Jan 1, 2009, please contact the AOFAS (aofasinfo@aofas.org or
    847-698-4654).
Wed., April 15, 2009
Rank List Submission Deadline
  • ALL rank lists must be in our office by 12:00 PM (PST).
  • Late rank lists will not be accepted. Applicants may call our office 24 hours after we should have received your rank list in order to get a telephone confirmation.

Thurs., April 30, 2009
afternoon
  • Any Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program with unmatched positions will be notified by e-mail of the number of unmatched positions they have.
Fri., May 1, 2009
Match Results
  • Beginning at 8:30 am PST, applicants who did not match will be notified by e-mail and provided with a list of programs that did not fill all of their positions. These unmatched applicants may begin contacting programs with unfilled positions immediately.
  • Beginning at 8:30 am applicants will be notified by e-mail of the name of the fellowship program to which they matched.
  • Beginning at 8:30 am PST fellowship programs will be notified by e-mail of the names of their matched applicants.
August 2010
  • Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship begins.
