SUBSPECIALTY: Retina
DIRECTORS: Christine Kay, M.D.,
DESCRIPTION:

Offering a post-residency fellowship clinical position to begin on 07/01/12.

PREREQUISITES: Graduated from an ophthalmology residency program by 7/1/2012 start date. This position is not available to International Medical Graduates.

The University of Florida is a strong clinical program with high surgical volume - fellows will perform 400-500+ primary vitreoretinal cases during their two year surgical fellowship. We currently have 2 full-time vitreoretinal faculty and will have 3 full-time faculty by August 2012. There will be surgical experience at both the University of Florida and the VA hospital.
We have a very strong ophthalmology residency program with 5 residents per year.
Research (particularly in inherited retinal disease and gene therapy) is a strongpoint of our program from an academic/research side, with opportunities available for involvement during fellowship (optional, not mandated research requirement.) The University of Florida is located in Gainesville, Florida.

Please email me at ckay@ufl.edu for any questions.

Interested applicants please email CV or resume, personal statement and 3 letters of reference.
