Offering a post-residency fellowship (clinical + research) position to begin on 09/01/10.
ADD'L INFO: Fellows will be exposed to a full range of spinal pathology (deformity, degenerative, trauma, tumor), varied anatomical locations (cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral), varied surgical and non-surgical techniques (open and MIS) and diverse patient populations (pediatrics, adult and geriatric). The Fellow will rotate through Neurosurgical, Orthopedic and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation services.
Fellows are expected to evaluate patients in elective clinics and emergency situations, to first assist on a minimum of 350 surgical cases, prepare conferences for medical students with Attending participation and complete 2 manuscripts for publications per year.
Approximately 70% of the Fellow’s time will be dedicated to operative care. The remaining time will be spent devoted to non-operative care (office, outpatient and inpatient) and research.
The candidate will receive one on one dedicated training as the sole Fellow of the program with exposure to all disciplines of the spine, including Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, Physiatry and Interventional Pain, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
