DESCRIPTION:

Position:Offering a post-residency fellowship (clinical + research) position to begin on 07/01/10

Prerequisites: Eligible candidates must have a medical degree from an accredited University in the United States, completed an ACGME approved residency program in Otolaryngology, and be board eligible prior to matriculation into the Fellowship.


We are currently accepting applications for our program beginning in July 2010.  Our Fellowship Program has been in effect since 1972.  The program is 24 months in duration and is comprised of 80% Clinical/Operative & 20% Research/Teaching experience. The Fellowship Program is currently in the process of becoming accredited. You will work closely with myself and other members of the team including our very active cochlear implant team. As a Fellow you are a functioning part of the CEI Physician Group. Special aspects of this Fellowship include exposure to the management and growth of a successful private sub-specialty practice and a high volume of surgical experience. Fellows also have the unique opportunity to participate in the clinical and research trials at CEI. In addition, Fellows have the potential to join our affiliated Let Them Hear Foundation team on medical programs locally and potentially internationally.

47007 Delaware Otologic Medicine and Surgery Fellowship
 
DESCRIPTION:

Position: Offering a post-residency fellowship (clinical + research) position to begin on 07/01/10.

Prerequisites: completion of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency. Desire to practice Otology at an academic level.


A one-year Fellowship in otology is being offered in response to the need in our specialty for increased clinical competence in otology at the graduating resident level. Case volume 225 otologic surgeries /year.
Strong emphasis on Vestibular disease in addition to surgical skill building. Participation in clinical and laboratory research required. PGY-6 salary with benefits. Please go to http://www.dbi.udel.edu/education/teixidoFellowship.html for more information.

Computer science background a plus.
Above average microsurgical abilities a plus.
Desire to limit future practice to otology a plus.
Excellent English speaking/writing skills.
