Ophthalmology Pre-residency fellowships

DESCRIPTION:

Offering a pre or post-residency position to begin on 07/01/08. Pre-requisites: MD or MD/PhD.

Energetic and talented individuals are sought to fill multiple postdoctoral positions in a lab that has made pioneering contributions to understanding the intersection between vascular biology and innate immunity in the visual system. Candidates with strengths in molecular biology, biochemistry, or immunology who enjoy working as part of a group in pursuing broad and challenging biomedical inquiries are encouraged to apply. This fellowship serves as an excellent transition from a surgery or medicine internship to an ophthalmology residency or from an ophthalmology residency to a fellowship. It also provides the necessary experience/CV to pursue a career as an ophthalmologist-surgeon-scientist.
