Offering a post-residency fellowship (clinical + research) position to begin on 07/01/10.
The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Rochester Life After Weight Loss Program is searching for a fellow in post-bariatric body contouring for the 2010-2011 academic year. This one-year funded multidisciplinary fellowship provides a broad experience in the management of obesity, bariatric surgery, state-of-the-art post-bariatric body contouring, and practice management. The fellow will have progressive responsibility in patient management, active participation in conferences, and engagement in clinical and basic science research activity.

Offering a PGY-6 position to begin on 07/01/10.
PREREQUISITES: As per the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the applicant must be board eligible by July 2010 in general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, urology, or oral/maxillofacial surgery.International Medical Graduates are welcome to apply (J-1 sponsored Visa).
This is currently a 2-year program. Residents perform a broad spectrum of surgeries including reconstructive, aesthetic, microsurgery, burn and craniofacial. Currently 8 faculty members covering four hospitals on campus. Rotations to community hospitals for aesthetic training.

Residents work in only 2 hospitals; the ratio of staff
to residents is greater than 2:1. Program received a 4
year accreditation and the next site review is fall 2012.
